We offer private training sessions for obedience and manners, or to work on specific behavior problems. Options include:
In-Home Coaching
Judy or Margery will come to you at your home and coach you through training your dog. In-home coaching can be for basic or advanced obedience/manners training or for a particular behavior problem. We will explain the exercises that you should work on and the purpose of each exercise, show you how to do the exercises with your dog in a step-by-step manner, and leave written instructions for you to refer to as you work with your dog.
- Basic session cost: $40 (1 hour)
- Mileage costs may apply depending on location.
- Discounts will be given for scheduling multiple sessions.
Please note: For certain serious behavior problems, as determined by the trainer, the Basic session cost is $50 (1 hour)
Training Boosts
If you are too busy to do the training yourself, or just don’t want to do it, Judy or Margery can do the bulk of the training work for you and then transfer to you how and when to use a given cue/behavior.
- Basic session cost: $25 per 1 hour session (3 sessions minimum – 2 training sessions with trainer plus 1 transfer session.)
- Mileage costs may apply depending on location.
- Discounts will be given for scheduling multiple sessions.
Board & Train
Your dog will stay for a set number of days with Judy or Margery for more intensive training. Eligible dogs get two hours of training per day and are boarded in a home environment which allows for additional interaction and “manners/rules of the house” training.
Requirements:
*One session to determine if Board & Train will work for your dog in our home, and to gather necessary information regarding training to be accomplished. ($40)
*One session (minimum) upon completion of Board & Train to transfer to owner the cues/behaviors worked on and when and how to use these cues/behaviors. ($25 per session)
*One Follow-up session (minimum) within two weeks of completing Board & Train to troubleshoot any problems. ($25 per session)
- Basic cost: $60 per day which includes 2 hours of training daily, boarding in a home environment, and video clips of your dog working with the trainer.
- Discounts will be given for sessions lasting longer than 5 days.
